La Roseraie de Sacha
our long-desired place of silence and light
La Roseraie de Sacha means: The Rose Garden of Sacha (pronounced: La Rose-a-ray).
Sacha is the name of our ancient spiritual lineage. Sacha means Truth. That quality of truth that is true for everyone, everywhere, at all times.
The property is old, very old, 500 years old. Architecture-wise, it is both feminine by its grace, and masculine by its sturdiness.
It is in the country-side, with small lanes and old hedges between the fields. There are numerous old trees on the property, several springs, a lake and an orchard...
It is so quiet, sheltered, but also open with wide views.
We live here with several horses, chickens, thousands of birds, deer, squirrels, lizards and salamanders and all sorts of astonishing animals that are new to us...
August 2011: Dear All, We have been at La Roseraie de Sacha for four months.
There is a weekly coming and going of the sangha. More than hundred have already visited, some come monthly.
To be here is very intense. There is no more room for avoiding. There is no choice: you can either run, or fully blossom!
We are busy making this beautiful property our own. We have dug a vegetable garden and are daily eating out of the garden.
A greenhouse has been erected and many trees are getting much overdue treatment. The first repairs and renovations are also under way. The satsang room, the dining room and one bedroom are magnificently renovated, in the kitchen the most delicious organic food is being prepared, our cat, the chickens and horses are taken care of. We have been given a tipi, that holds 60 persons, where we are having ceremonies and we are fully enjoying nature's magic abundance.
I would like to thank all of you for your donations which come in many forms. It is heartwarming to see that so many offer to contribute. Building this up with the energy and enthusiasm that you bring is wonderful.
With the donated money we buy all kind of things like ladders, wheelbarrows, tools, paint and bathmats.
I hope that our La Roseraie de Sacha will be a blessed, fruitful and inspiring place for you for many years.
