Wonderment

Wonderment is a collection of the precious non-dual teachings of Prajnaparamita presented beside images of her life, her masters, and life at her ashram, La Roseraie de Sacha. They evoke both the essence and the expression of awareness where all is seen in the light of freedom, where your very nature speaks the language of stillness and life is lived in gratitude and wonder.

Roaming through a sea of wild flowers
Morning’s dew glinting off ripening fruit
Sun shining from a horse’s back
Wonder is always close by.

Wings of Freedom

WINGS OF FREEDOM offers a doorway to the liberating revelation of the mystery within. Here, in the heart of life, everything is perfectly resting in itself.

With piercing clarity, the reader is guided to see the illusionary nature of ideas and beliefs. Nothing needs to be understood, done or solved to realise the supreme reality, the Self of all that exists. It is the dedication to truth that yields awakening, an overwhelming dawn of peace and unconditional love.

Words from ShantiMayi, Prajnaparamita’s guru, about her book ‘Wings of Freedom’ and the nature of the connection between Guru  and disciple:

Prajna means wise, para means perfection in transcendence, mita means established.

Prajnaparamita is known as the Mother of the Buddhas. She is established in transcendent wisdom. A name of compassion and spiritual prowess.

Receptive to the teachings…

Open this book, Wings of Freedom, to any passage throughout and you will find a jewel in the treasury of spiritual wisdom. From cover to cover, this beautiful book is an ever-reminder, a pointer, an encouragement and an inspiration. Cultivating insight that signals the ‘way’.

“Insights should be transformational, they should lead you from delusion to truth.” WINGS OF FREEDOM

Her teachings are direct, focused and their potency never wears thin. Wings of Freedom may well become a life time companion.

That relationship…

When that inner call is so pronounced that you must listen. When spiritual curiosity draws you deeply into your heart. When you are willing and sincere. Then, grace guides you to that rare relationship that ends all separateness.

The disciple and master’s Great Work is not a small matter.
As Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, the great Sufi master said, “This is not a casual affair.” Discovering the potency of love, transparency of mind and the realisation of Divine Nature is what the relationship between master and disciple is all about. It’s the yearning of an opening heart for awakening to wisdom.

That is what I found with my Master Sri Sacha Baba Hansraj Maharajji and this is what I found with my disciple, Prajnaparamita. I mention this relationship of disciple and master in reference to this illuminating book, Wings of Freedom, because this dynamic relationship is the foundation from which the light of ‘Truth’ springs forth, from within the disciple.

The two, master and disciple are one and are also countless many, as well as no one at all. This is the ‘way’ of great souls throughout the ages. It is an ancient and well trodden tradition.

For some of us, this sacred relationship culminates in selfless service to humanity. In whatever form or formlessness that service is offered and received. Wings of Freedom and Prajnaparamita herself are an offering of great service to the receptive.

Prajnaparamita…

Prajnaparamita’s family is highly respected in the Netherlands, being well established in academic circles. During casual visits with her parents’ closest friends, they gathered together playing music and engaged in delightful conversations. For several generations, women in her family were accustomed to academic and professional accomplishment. In her
youth, she was unaware of her high standing in life.

She had every possibility that life had to offer. Though she attended medical school, nothing thus far brought forth what her soul was seeking. Something, with all of the opportunity afforded to her in life, seemed to be lacking.

She went in search of what that was, she had to, and nothing could stop her, nothing would and nothing did.

Her focus…

One who is receptive, discerning, peering deeply into silence and stillness, is a rare one. That one will see and truly see.

In the early days, for long periods of time, years really… Prajnaparamita bathed in stillness, ripening in the light of revelation. In our garden, along the Ganges, she sat alone, peacefully and as still as a stone. Day after day, month after month, season after season.

Quietly observing her sitting there, I was harkened back to the times when I sat with my master in a similar way. So still, so silent and receptive, dispelling the clouds of delusion.

It was obvious to me, in her serenity and subtlety … that within her, she was a raging river running unimpeded to its source.

One of the dutiful honors of a master is to transmit, direct and encourage the disciple to realisation of their True Undividable Nature. And, that the disciple lives a spiritually skillful life in service to all.

This subtle, radiant transmission from our lineage has been fully absorbed by Prajnaparamita.
Prajnaparamita has indeed dedicated her life to the Great Work and to those who come to receive spiritual wisdom.

Awakening, living the principles of non-duality through the master’s teachings, is charting unfamiliar territory. Innate to you, within you and yet, unfamiliar. Wings of Freedom is an entry, a transmission, a potent mentor familiarising and encouraging you to your greatest potential.

“Here – in your very heart – lives unconditional love, wisdom and compassion. Tenderly, life turns into a listening, a listening and a responding to the will of existence.” WINGS OF FREEDOM

Prajnaparamita evokes this wisdom…
With all of the grace, blessings, encouragement and spiritual guidance, in the end it is all up to you.

She writes…

“What do you want, what do you honour, what is your heart’s call, do you live it? Is there love and joy in your friendships and family, or do you feel relieved to go home after meeting them?
Is it a pleasure to go to work and do you return home content?

Do you live what is really important to you? What do you really want?”

WINGS OF FREEDOM

Wings of Freedom is an offering from the heart and wisdom of Prajnaparamita to those who aspire to find out what it is that they really and truly desire.

It all starts and ends with the great and subtle awareness of who you actually are in ‘Truth’.
